ijustwantfood – Lobster Bisque

Nothing beats a good meal at db Bistro after a hectic work week. Warmly welcomed by their friendly and warm staff, we were led to a nice cosy table near the bar. There, we had a perfect view of the lush interior and the guests of different demographics.

Families, couples, friends of different nationalities and ages dining at the restaurant signify one key reason. The popularity of db Bistro remains despite many years.

Served with warm lobster bisque for starters was an excellent choice. Priced at S$28, the soup was thick, rich and yet light. The viscosity was dense and the flavour has rich lobster taste, yet not queasy. Topped with croutons, the soup was indeed enjoyable. (Food rating: 4/5)

ijustwantfood – Cheese Puff Pastry

Compliments from the restaurant, the cheese puff pastry was very light and lightly salted with cheese. You may either eat it on its own or dip into the soup to give more texture to the taste. (Food rating: 4/5)

ijustwantfood – charred octopus

The charred octopus was grilled to perfection. The octopus was so soft that it did not need much strength to chew it. Even an elderly can eat the moist and soft octopus. The octopus was served with tomato salsa that gave that added texture. Drizzled with lemon juice made the octopus taste tangy. It was amazing and the dining experience was exhilarating. Crab cakes are one of my favourites since I first had them whilst in Boston, Massachusettes. It was unforgettable.

The sea bass was very fresh but the fishy taste is too much for me to handle.

The burger is too huge. The truffles slices were too generous.

Loved the dessert. It was refreshing and had a very nice citrus taste.
