The Old Airport Road Food Centre is one of the places you must go for food. The food centre boasts of its award-winning and mouth watering food stalls, ranging from local delights to western to eastern cuisine.
Though I am not a fan of fried oyster omelette, I loved the way the omelette was cooked in high heat. The chilli sauce was just nice, a little sourish and spicy. However, I felt that the omelette was a little soft and lacked the crispiness for this stall. (Food rating: 2.5/5)

How about having satay (grilled meat cubes on skewers) from Chuan Kee Satay? An old school Hainanese-style satay is definitely worth the long wait. Waited for more than an hour, the lightly charred sweet chicken cubes served with cucumber cubes, raw onions and rich peanut sauce with pineapple was absolutely delicious.

Likewise, the pork satay was equally good. The meat was succulent which was beyond my expectations. The traditional ketupat or dumpling made from rice was fragrant. The coconut leaves woven rice dumplings were moist and soft. Each item dipped into the peanut gravy was heavenly. (Food rating: 4/5)

The mutton soup from Hougang Jing Jia Mutton Soup was pretty good. Unlike the herbal mutton soup, this broth was light but with nice aroma. The mutton ribs were tender and moist that it was easy to bite. I would come back again for more. (Food rating: 4/5)
