I have always enjoyed dining at Putien. The food experience is always pleasant. Similar to Din Ta Fung, the queue is always long. Unless you make reservations, you will have to wait a long time before you will be seated.

One of the highlights was the deep fried egg plant with pork floss. The egg plant were cut in strips, powdered with four and then deep fried in hot oil. The egg plant strips were crispy outside and the insides were not slimy. The pork floss added the sweetness and flavour to the fritters. This was one of my favourite dishes and I bet you will love it too.

The fried fish was simple but were very close to home. It reminded me of the times my Mother or Grandmother would fry the fishes for dinner. The fishes were freshly prepared. Dipped into the garlic chilli sauce, the fish would take you to another level. Coupled with the chilli, the fish tasted spicy and yet a little of vinegary. If you are unsure what to order when you are the restaurant, why not try this.

This is definitely not chives. Named White water Snowflakes stems, these slim stems are edible, and is used as vegetables in Taiwan. Cooked with sambal, this plain snowflakes dish was elevated by many notches. The sambal or chilli paste was so good. The snowflakes stems and the chilli paste were a perfect match. You must definitely order this plate of vegetables.

Known as Bian Yu Tang (扁鱼汤), you must definitely order this soup. The dumpling skin was made of fish meat and the filling was flavourful. The broth was seaweed soup with a little of vinegary taste. They were a great combination with the flavour some dumplings with vinegary seaweed soup.

The final dish was the pig intestines as your starters. The pig intestines were folded multiple times, making a thick round chunks of intestines. The innards were well cleaned that there were no foul smell or aftertaste.
